Fallon County Noxious Weed Board Minutes – January 6th 2026

FALLON COUNTY WEED BOARD
January 6, 2026
Members in attendance: Sara Berger, Roddy Rost, Lance Kono, Bev Burghduff,
Wanda Pinnow & Jesse Scott

Meeting called to order at 5:35pm

Lance moved to accept the minutes with a date correction from the last
meeting. Bev 2nd – all approved – motion passed.

There were a few questions on the budget and money for a new CanAm. Sara
explained the budget and showed that there was money in the grant fund for it.

Sara let the board know that 17 management plans expired 12/31/2025 and
she was going to send out management plans and letters to everyone. There
was also about 7 bills still due and she was going to send reminders out on
those.

Spray Days will be January 7th with the Little Beaver Conservation Districts
Rethinking Rangeland. We have roughly 75 people signed up.

Annual Conference will be in Billings, February 9-12. If anyone would like to go
let Sara know as soon as possible so she can get permission from the
Commission to pay for rooms and registration.

Winter plans are to finish up all of the office stuff then start spending more
time at the shop working on everything so its ready to go when the crew starts.

Sara put in for an education grant this year to help provide more trainings and
hands-on education days for the adult and youth in the county.

The next meeting will be February 24th at 5pm
