Baker Rural District September 2023 Meeting
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD SEPTEMBER 7, 2023 AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
Motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the August 10, 2023 meeting by Randy. The motion was 2nd by Fred. Motion carried. All Aye.
OLD BUSINESS:
Turk, Dick and Tom met with Jade about the insurance situation for the fire department. The solution they came up was to do workmen comp for all the members. The amount for all the members and paid employees would be around $4200.00 for the year. The board would still keep the current insurance, recommended to do so by Jade. Fred made the motion to do the workmen comp. Motion was 2nd by Randy. Motion Carried. All Aye.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was no new business to come before the board.
Chris made the motion to pay the bills. Randy 2nd the motion.
The following claims were approved to be paid:
Being there no further business to come before the board. Dick made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Chirs 2nd the motion. Motion Carried. All Aye. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
