Baker Rural Fire District – March 2024 Meeting
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD MARCH 7, 2024 AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
Motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the February 1, 2024, meeting by Randy. The motion was 2nd by Dick. Motion carried. All Aye.
OLD BUSINESS:
The plan to fix the wash bay wall was placed on hold. The bid that was received was to replace it with tin. Some discussion was held to look into using plastic. The plan is to go back to the original plan of tin.
NEW BUSINESS:
The time has ended for placing bids on the tank from Unit #490. The board received two sealed bids and they are as follows:
Frank Bondell – $2050.00
Cody Johnson – $103.00
Fred made the motion to accept Frank Bondell’s bid. Dick 2nd the motion. Motion carried. All Aye.
The funds for the tank will go into the Capital Project account.
Unit #490 was hauled to Osco this week and the new tank should be there at the end of April for them to start installing.
Dick made the motion to pay the bills. Chris 2nd the motion.
The following claims were approved to be paid:
There being no further business to come before the board. Fred made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Dick 2nd the motion. Motion Carried. All Aye. The meeting adjourned at 7:44 P.M.
