Baker Rural Fire District Minutes
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL FIRE DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD APRIL 5,2022, AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
ABSENT: Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke
VISITOR: Bryce Kramlick
After reviewing the minutes for the March 3, 2022 meeting Dick made the motion to approve the minutes. Motion was 2nd by Chris. Motion Carried. All Aye.
OLD BUSINESS:
We have received payment from the Golva Fire Department for the building. They will come move the building at their expense when weather allows. Our insurance on the building is good till May 17, 2022. Turk is going to talk to Golva and let them know.
The Burn training that was held this last month was well attended. There were 9 departments represented and over 60 in attendance for 2 days. With that being said on May 14, 2022 Bowman will be holding a Burn Trailer training, which Baker is invited to attend.
April 23, 2022 will be Robert’s Celebration of 50 years with the department from 1-5 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was some discussion on what to do with Unit #472. Turk is going to talk with the commissioner’s about putting the unit out for bids.
Fred made the motion to pay the bills. Chris 2nd the motion.
The following claims were approved to be paid:
Being there no more new business to come before the board. Dick made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Fred 2nd the motion. Motion Carried. All Aye. Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
