Baker Rural Fire District October 2023 Meeting
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD OCTOBER 12, 2023 AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
ABSENT: Trustee; Fred Hoff
Motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the September 7, 2023, meeting by Randy. The motion was 2nd by Dick. Motion carried. All Aye.
OLD BUSINESS:
Accident Insurance for all personnel is now affective.
The PTO on Unit #433 loosened up J.A. Miller Truck Repair made some changes. Hoping they solved the issue.
Direct Electric got an estimate for new lights in the wash bay. It came in at $3566.95. Some of the existing lights are not working and there are some that are not up to code. Dick made the motion to except the bid. Randy 2nd the motion. Motion carried. All Aye
NEW BUSINESS:
Apparatus Maintenance will be coming back to look at the ladder truck. The ladder switch for bringing the ladder down by itself is not working correctly. The Command vehicle also has a 15 min max time limit for idle time. It shuts off after the time limit. Tom is having them override this due to vehicle shutting off and losing all emergency lights.
Chris made the motion to pay the bills. Dick 2nd the motion. The following claims were approved to be paid:
