Baker Rural Fire District – September 2024 Meeting
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD SEPTEMBER 5, 2024, AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
A motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the August 8, 2024, meeting by Dick. The motion was 2nd by Randy. Motion carried. All Aye.
OLD BUSINESS:
Unit #490 will be ready for pickup next week. Gary Zumbrum will be taking a load out that way and is willing to bring the truck back. The board members are all on board for him to haul it back.
The job of getting the parking lot sealed will be put on hold till next year. Top Gun is not getting back to Tom. There is no one that has the time to work on the parking lot this year.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Insurance Store sent up two new options for Accidental & Death insurance choices. The was some discussion on them. Turk and Tom will stop and visit with Jade about the choices. This will be tabled till after the meeting with Jade.
RDO came to Tom at the fair to talk to him about trading the skid steer in for a new one. After some discussion the board decided their offer was not worth trading the skid steer the department has. They did talk about getting rid of the attachment not being used. Tom will do some checking to see what could be done with the attachments.
Chris made the motion to pay the bills. Randy 2nd the motion.
The following claims were approved to be paid:
There will be training on the 11th Grass Rig Pump. Please be here at 6:00 p.m. and supper will be provided.
There being no further business to come before the board. Dick made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Chris 2nd the motion. Motion Carried. All Aye. The meeting adjourned at 8:07 P.M.
