Matt Plaisted called the meeting to order.

Wendy Wagner motioned to approve the December 16,2024 Fair Board Agenda. Justin Koenigsfeld seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
6:31 PM APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Derrick DeHaan motioned to approve the November 18, 2024, minutes. Wendy Wagner seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
6:32 PM MANAGERS REPORT
Jennefer gave them a list of the events present and past that have happened at the Fairgrounds. Jennefer let them know we didn’t get the Grid United Grant for the electronic sign. Reminded them she will be out of the office December 20-Jan 1st. She will add a sign to the door with their numbers on it in the event anything needs taken care of. Darcy has 4 contracts. She sent the addendum to RKZ and is awaiting it for signature. She requested Midway Amusements, but Michelle is in Italy for a bit. She asked about the dates for 2026 Fair as some of the contracts will want them. August 13-16, 2026.

Worlds Funnest Photo booth
Wendy Wagner made the motion to approve Worlds Funnest PB at the 2025 Fair. Derrick DeHaan seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Barnology
Leighton Bilbrey made the motion to approve Barnology for the 2025 Fair. Justin Koenigsfeld seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Cup Guy
Wendy Wagner made the motion to approve The Cup Guy for the 2025 Fair. Justin Koenigsfeld seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Dalton Morris Barrelman/Clown
Leighton Bilbrey made the motion to approve Dalton Morris for the 2025 Fair. Derrick DeHaan seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Greg Simas and Jeff Marn for multi- year announcer contracts. Will increase 5% each year for 3 years.
Justin Koenigsfeld made the motion to approve Greg Simas and Jeff Marn for multi-year contracts for the 2025 Fair and future years. Derrick DeHaan seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
The Night show was discussed. Everyone was on board for the act. Derrick DeHaan will tell Ward yes and we will see if they accept.
Wendy Wagner made the motion to approve the night show act upon their approval for the 2025 Fair
and future years. Leighton Bilbrey seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
6:54 PM NEW BUSINESS
Patio Band
The Board approved to ask Ward about Flannel. Ward said it would be $7500 plus rooms.
Wendy Wagner made the motion to have Flannel for the Patio Band for the 2025 Fair. Justin Koenigsfeld seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Saturday night Entertainment
Discussed a comedian and something to go with it or just the comedian. Everyone thought it would be worth a try for something different and new. We will table discussion on the amount until the January meeting. Matt called for a motion to approve the Comedic act.
Derrick DeHaan made the motion to have a comedian for the 2025 Fair. Justin Koenigsfeld seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Matt asked if there was any other new business. The Board discussed the different acts they seen and how it was different again this year. The Peddle Cars and the Pig Races. Wendy Wagner had the brochure from them and stuff we want to pursue for 2026 Fair. Jennefer will contact Fusion Talent about the Peddle/Pig Races. Jennefer asked the Board if we want to do a Winter thing again. She will contact Dueling Pianos and see prices and availability. Jennefer will also get in touch with the LAL Entertainment Group for 2026 Fair.
Jennefer did mention to the Board our next meeting would be on a Holiday for the County. Would we like to move that to the 13th or the 21st? The Board chose the 13th for the next meeting.
Justin Koenigsfeld is working on a drag for the indoor arena with the Golf Course that Darin Meggers can hook on to the Tool Cat and drag the Barn every week.
Matt, Derrick and Justin discussed hauling the roping chutes and round pens back into the Barn on Saturday.
Matt asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting.
