Convene:
The meeting was called to order by Curt at 4:11 pm at the O’Fallon Museum metal building.
Public Comment: Time limit 10 minutes per subject.
Minutes: Read by trustees.
Toni made a motion to approve minutes and Ken seconded. Minutes approved.
Accessions: (Motion to accept made by Curt and Toni seconded.)
- Trish Rost – Fire hydrant – Traci’s husband said he’d put a stand.
Discussion of Curator’s Report:
- PAR final zoom with Brandon and Kelsea
- Will have a digital and print copy
- Next steps – Need engineers to design it $220,000
- Maybe find someone cheaper
- $2.3 million – There may be ways to cheapen it by not needed the fire sprinklers.
- Could do it in stages.
- Grid United – up to $50,000 — for engineering?
- Commerce grants – Vaughn might know
- History Walk – Vaughn, Lew, Stacey, Melissa –
- Lew Price wrote up information on businesses on his family.
- Need 10 metal signs at ten locations
- Put a bench at each sign
- Each stop would have multiple buildings, whatever you can see
- Summer help – Jaeda – fast, focused, knows what to do
- Getting a lot done
- Women in Blue Jeans
- Good help on STEM camps
- Maybe do an honorarium for help
- She will be done in a few weeks
- Camps
- Record numbers
- Art walk had normal numbers
- Rec Dept asked for donations – $1,300 for STEM camps and Preschool Playtime
- Lego contest – Midrivers gave $1000
- Bought glass case
- Bring in the “build at home” on Aug. 9 or 10
- Can built on site at Aug. 10
- Derrick – outdoor maintenance
- Fixed screen doors, got new glass displays for steel building and bedroom in jail
- Moved sewing stuff downstairs
- Need to move over bones and taxidermy to metal building
- Talked to Bob the Tree Guy to remove trees – $9300
- Military stuff left at Jackson Village
- Kenny can take them out for $300
