Convene:
The meeting was called to order by Curt at 4:08 pm at the O’Fallon Museum metal building.
Public Comment: Time limit 10 minutes per subject.
Minutes: Read by trustees.
Toni made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and Tiffany seconded. Minutes approved.
Accessions
- Clerk of court – giving us a cabinet, shelving, and units for display and storage. Toni made a motion to accept the furniture and items from the Clerk of Court. Tiffany seconded. Motion passed.
- Myron Williams – Switch keys from the railroad with a railroad picture
- There is nothing in the budget for accessions. Might need to add that to the Historical Society budget.
- Items that are donated through the Historical Society can be used as a tax deduction.
Deaccessions
- None
Discussion of Curator’s Report
- Visitation down in September with a big push at the end – 126 (51 adults and 75 kids including the 6th graders and lego days).
- Visit SE MT meeting – 22 people from out of town – state tourism board
- Spent most of their money on Glendive, Ekalaka, and Billings, so it was good to have them here.
- Took a tour and lots of photos.
- Up over 2000 for the year, despite the fact that the museum was essentially closed for three months.
- Montana Nonprofit Association meeting – Oct. 22 from 9:30 am – 2 pm at the museum.
- Kim Sayer – went to the Montana Performing Arts Consortium in Great Falls on behalf Montana Historical Society.
- Sending a full report – 16 performers could be brought here.
- Many are already booked 1st week of June.
- Have agent contacts for performers.
- Could use people for Heritage Fest, the Art Walk, and other events.
Old Business
- Night at the Museum

- Ava Goerndt – Ellen Brandt
- Karst Rose – William Vandervoort
- Kids’ crafts: 4 pm
- Free will offering supper: 4-6 pm
- Performances: 6-8 pm
- Needs: bars, chili, cornbread, coffee, and lemonade
New Business
- Exhibit changes in jail
- Want to get rid of the downstairs living room scene and take new stuff from the courthouse to make it dedicated to jail theme and true crime.
- Take the sewing room and make it a Baker history room
- Need help: Need help getting a phone operator switchboard downstairs and moving the TV upstairs.
Next Meeting: Monday, November 17 at 4 pm.
Adjournment: Curt adjourned the meeting at 4:51 pm.
