Baker Rural Fire District – January 2024 Meeting
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD JANUARY 4, 2024 AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
ABSENT: Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke
Motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the December 7, 2023, meeting by Dick. The motion was 2nd by Chris. Motion carried. All Aye.
OLD BUSINESS:
The wash bay lights are in. One of the sets are not working. Direct Electric is coming back to check out the issue.
NEW BUSINESS:
The South Tower lights are still not working. Tom talked to TABS and the plan is still to get all the lights fixed.
Tom, said that Brosz is getting rock and weed mat to finish the 6th street project.
There was some discussion about Unit #490’s tank. The pump is still working fine but after some discussion Fred made the motion to replace the tank and lights on Unit #490. Chris 2nd the motion. Motion carried. All Aye.
The board had some discussion about the oldest unit out in the country. Unit #411 is the oldest truck in the department, so the board talked about decommissioning the unit.
Dick made the motion to pay the bills. Chris 2nd the motion.

There being no further business to come before the board. Dick made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Fred 2nd the motion. Motion Carried. All Aye. The meeting adjourned at 7:49 P.M.
