Baker Rural Fire District December 2023 Meeting
THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD DECEMBER 6, 2022 AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.
PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Chris Meccage, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy
Motion was made by Randy to approve the presented minutes of the November 10, 2022 meeting. Motion was 2nd by Dick. Motion carried. All Aye
OLD BUSINESS:
Tom talked to the guy in Carrington, ND about working on the Def Systems in the 2 trucks. Sent him some pictures and thinks he will be able to come next week and work on the Def systems here.
There still is no news on the license for the tower.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was a family emergency in the family of the service man for the generator. He is hoping to come and complete the yearly service of the generator in the upcoming weeks.
Tom mentioned that this Thursday December 8th at 4:00 to 6:00p.m. Santa will be here and a few trucks will be in the Christmas Parade of Lights.
The board received a donation from Denbury. After some discussion on what to do with the donation. Chris made a motion to place the funds in the Memorial & Donation Fund. Dick 2nd the motion. Motion carried. All Aye.
Unit #90 is going to Del to get a master switch because it keeps killing batteries. The fiberglass tank on this unit is also going bad. The tank is about 35 years old. There was talk about looking into a new tank. Fred made the motion to pay the bills. Chris 2nd the motion.
