Justin Koenigsfeld called the meeting to order.

Wendy Wagner motioned to approve March 16, 2026, Fair Board Agenda. Derrick DeHaan seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
6:31 PM APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Wendy Wagner motioned to approve February 9, 2026, minutes with changes. Derrick DeHaan seconded the motion. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
6:32 PM MANAGERS REPORT
Jennefer gave them a list of the events present and past that have happened at the Fairgrounds since the previous meeting. Jennefer is going to get letters ready to send out for the Food/Vendor and Beer Booth. She has had zero luck with Breakaway Calves. Any suggestions. Justin suggested Joe Painter if we can find his number. Derrick sent a message to Eddie Coulter. Jennefer brought up that budgets were coming up and everyone be thinking about things that we would like to do.

No one appeared from Extension.

6:37 PM OLD BUSINESS
Patio Band-Nothing yet from Ward. Derrick will talk with him tomorrow.
4th Of July-Band is found. Ward will get contract over to Jennefer. We will have an 8pm show start and
the Fireworks will start at 10pm.
Chamber Raffle-They will hold the raffle this summer for AAU Football fundraisers. The Board discussed it and they were on board giving them 2 tickets for each of the following events on Saturday at the Fair. Rodeo/Carnival/Monster Truck Show.
Derrick DeHaan motioned to give the Chamber 2 tickets each for a day at the Fair for Saturday, August
15th. Wendy Wagner seconded the motion. The motion carried. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0

Rodeo Clown—Donnie Landis is interested in coming for the price of $4,000.
Wendy Wagner motioned for Donnie Landis for our Rodeo Clown. Derrick DeHaan seconded the motion. The motion carried. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
6:57 PM NEW BUSINESS
Night at the Races donation-Brenda Uecker with Thee Garage and host of the Night at the Races Fundraiser for the 4th of July Fireworks fund asked if the Board would like to donate for the event. The Board agreed upon 2 Night Show tickets and 2 T-shirts.
Wendy Wagner motioned to donate to the Night at the Races Fundraiser. Dale Butori seconded the
motion. The motion carried. The motion carried. 4 Ayes. 0 Nays. 0 Absent.
Rodeo Winner Prizes buckles/hat pins-Jennefer asked if there were any ideas for the Rodeo Contestant prizes. Wendy loves to see the Hat Feathers on the Rodeo Channel that says Fallon County. Jennefer will gather some prices from Montana Silversmiths and find out if there is anything new. The Junior Barrels asked last year after Fair if we would think about maybe giving them a buckle instead of money. The Board thought that was not a bad idea.
Jennefer will talk with Maddie again about what day she wants to sing the National Anthem.
Chairman Koenigsfeld asked if there was any other business we needed to discuss.
Gary Irgens asked about the 2027 Fair band and if we should investigate booking them now as they are booked out so far in advance. After discussing this they looked at the calendar and the Fair will be August 19-21st, 2027. The Board agreed that it may not be a bad idea. Derrick will discuss with Ward when he talks with him. Wendy said or if anything we could book a summer band for next year along with the Fair one.
