Little Beaver Conservation District Minutes
April 2, 2025
Came to order: 5:30 pm
Present: Roddy Rost, Kodie Olsen, Keith Rustad, Fred Houzvicka, Stephane Crisler, Melissa Foster- phone Michelle Gorder- NRCS, Veronica Grigaltchik- DNRC
Public Comment: none
Minutes: The minutes from the March 2025 meeting were approved.
Profit and Loss: Last month’s profit and loss was approved by Kodie and Fred.
Financial Information: Kodie made a motion to pay the bills as presented, Fred seconded, motion passed. The following bills were paid.
- Hwy 12 Equipment- April storage rent- $300.00
- Mid-Rivers Communications- Wi-Fi -$35.50
- Federal Tax Deposit- $396.56 (online)
- Stephanie Crisler- $1,953.65
City of Baker- $20.30
- JK Cattle- $1,263.08
- Dirk O’Connor- $60.84
- MCDEO- $30.00
- Sage 4 Success- $1,833.00
- MACD- $4,000.00

Old Business:
- There are still some things out at the building. The board mentioned asking Joe for help moving it all. Stephanie will get in touch with him.
New Business:
- Veronica discussed the CDA requirements and current budget with the board. Kodie made the motion to start the process of increasing our Permissive Levy by doubling it, Keith seconded the motion. Stephanie will work on that.
- Kodie made the motion to apply for the FY 2026 CDA Grant, to help with administrator costs. Fred seconded the motion.
- Stephanie gave her administrator report and let the board know strategic planning is moving right on track with Terry Profota and our in-person date is set for June 4th @ 1 pm. Stephanie also let the board know the new drill is here and the rental list is filling up.
- Education planning/ outreach- Michelle asked if extension was doing an education day and Kodie mentioned Sara Berger is doing one at the school and will put her in contact with LBCD and NRCS for more info on that day so we could help.
- Stephanie let the board know MDU did come out and hook up electricity, but mentioned to was put on the wrong pole. She called MDU and they will come out and move it, just need an electrician there to move the box first. Stephanie will also call Mid Rivers and get that moved.
Excusal of Absences: Keith made the motion to excuse Dirk and Quentin. Fred seconded the motion.

With no other further business Fred adjourned the meeting, Kodie seconded. The next monthly meeting of the Little Beaver Conservation District will be held May 7, 2025 @ 5:30 pm.
