Little Beaver Conservation District Minutes

October 1^st, 2025

Came to order: 5:15 p.m.

Present: Fred Houzvicka, Keith Rustad, Roddy Rost, Kodie Olsen, Jessica Stark

Public Comment: none

Minutes: The minutes from the September 2025 meeting were approved.

Profit and Loss: Last month’s profit and loss was approved by Fred and Kodie.

Financial Information: Kodie made a motion to pay the bills as presented, Fred seconded, motion passed. Bills were paid.

• Kodie made a motion to move $50,000 out of the building fund located at grasslands into our bank of baker checking account. Keith seconded.

Old Business:

• The new website is still in process of finding someone to get it done.
• Jessica will keep working on finding a corporation to get a lease tractor for the upcoming tree season.

New Business:

• The new CD Model Operations Policies and Procedures from DNRC has been finalized and throughout board meetings we will split it up into sections and decide to adopt or not adopt.
• Kodie is still working on getting everything updated in the LBCD personal policy.
• Rachel’s Accounting completed our payroll tax report.
• Kodie and Roddy gave a report on the Area 2 meeting in September.
• Jessica found a resettable acre meter in the office to put on the No-Till Drill until we can get a new non-resettable one to put on.
• Concrete is being poured and will continue next steps on the building was concrete is finished.
• Terry and Jessica started working on the operational plan and will be continuing the work until our hours with the extended agreement is up.
• Jessica gave her coordinator report to see what she has been up to for the month.
• The grazing workshop date and place is set. Jessica will work with people to get it advertised and get grants worked up. Jessica will continue to find more people to speak at the workshop to make it a fulfilled grazing workshop.

With no other further business Roddy adjourned the meeting, Kodie seconded @6:14 p.m. The next monthly meeting of the Little Beaver Conservation District will be held November 3^rd, 2025 @ 5:00pm.
