Notice of Public Hearing – November 9, 2026

The Fallon County Commission will hold a public hearing at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 9th, 2026 in the Commissioners’ Office to hear public comment regarding the intent to sell the following real property, commonly known as the Man-camp. After receiving comments on the consideration to sell the Man-camp, the Commission will consider the adoption of a resolution to sell.

FALLON COUNTY RESOLUTION #2002

RESOLUTION DECLARING FALLON COUNTY’S INTENT TO SELL THE FOLLOWING REAL PROPERTY:

Parcel 1 (COS 0110599) in Section 15, T7N, R59E, MPM

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7-8-2521, MCA, the Board of County Commissioners (the “Board”) has authority to sell real property and has adopted Resolution 2018-15, recorded as Document No. 0103556, providing procedures and guidelines for the sale of real property, and WHEREAS, the Board is considering whether to sell the following real property.  If approved, the Property will be sold for not less than its appraised value of $738,000.00 or highest bid.

TOWNSHIP 7 North, RANGE 59 East, M.P.M., Fallon County, Montana

Section 15:  Parcel 1 as shown on COS 0110599, Book 1P at Page 393 of the records of Fallon County, Montana, containing +/-227.11 acres

EXCEPTING AND RESERVING UNTO THE COUNTY, A 60’ WIDE WATERLINE EASEMENT & RIGHT-OF-WAY which includes the right to enter upon the easement to grade, level, fill, drain, build, maintain, repair and rebuild a water line, together with such appurtenances as may be desirable within and across the ground embraced within the right-of-way, more particularly described as follows:

AN EASEMENT LYING IN SECTION 15, T07N, R59E, FALLON COUNTY MONTANA, MPM MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

THE SAID EASEMENT IS 5,826.03’ (FEET) OR 353.09 RODS IN LENGTH, AS ATTACHED IN EXHIBIT 1.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF FALLON, MONTANA:

1. The Commission is considering whether to sell the above property.
2. The Commission would like to consider County resident’s opinions whether in support or opposed to such sale and on whether the Property is useful to County business.
3. The Commission will consider acting on a Resolution to Sell the Real Property on November 16, 2026 at its regular meeting at 1:30 p.m.  Unless the County is persuaded that the property is useful to the County, the Commission intends to pass a Resolution to Sell the Real Property. 
4. Interested persons may provide their opinions and feedback at the Meeting scheduled above or provide written opinions and information prior to that date. 
5. The Clerk is directed to provide notice of this resolution by having it published in the Fallon County Times for one week prior to the scheduled meeting, and additionally ensure notice is posted on the Fallon County website, posted in the courthouse and notify all adjacent landowners by mail.
