BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING
OF THE
PLEVNA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT
May 8th, 2025
Chairman Shaun Crisler called the meeting to order, Directors Cody Rieger, Dana Buerkle, Bobby Wiedmer, Larry Steffes, Chief Kalyn Bohle and recording clerk Stephanie Crisler were present.
The April 2025 Board of Directors’ meeting minutes were read and approved.
Motion was made by Director Bobby, seconded by Director Cody, and carried out to pay the following bills:

Chairman Shaun asked for old business. Chief Kalyn mentioned the prices for the gas-powered chop saws. Director Dana made the motion to buy a saw and blades up to $1,800.00. Director Cody seconded the motion.
Chairman Shaun asked for new business. Shaun mentioned the electrical at the mechanics bay is not working. Director Cody made the motion to hire Direct Electric to fix the electrical issues. Director Larry seconded the motion. Chairman Shaun will get a hold of Brian. Chairman Shaun mentioned the fire department tanks need fuel. Director Larry made the motion to call Prairie Fuels and purchase 500 gallons of diesel and 200 gallons of gas. Director Bobby seconded the motion. Chief Kalyn mentioned the fire department needs more wildland fire gear, he will get prices and bring them to the next meeting. Stephanie mentioned trash being left at the community center by people who are renting the building. Shaun mentioned a recall on truck 942. He will take it down to Ford. The budget was also discussed.
There being no further business, Director Bobby made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Director Larry and carried.
