Baker Rural Fire District – July 10th, 2025 Meeting

THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD JULY 10, 2025, AT 7:00 P.M. AT

8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.

PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Shawn Strangford, Trustee; Fred Hoff, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy

ABSENT: Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke

A motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the June 5, 2025, meeting by Fred. The motion

was 2nd by Dick.  Motion carried. All Aye.

OLD BUSINESS:

The budget meeting with the commissioners went well. There was talk about investing more funds into STIP.  Fred made the motion after some discussion for $336,000.00 out of Capital Projects to be invested. Dick 2nd the motion. Motion carried. All Aye.

NEW BUSINESS:

There is work that needs to be done on the bricks on the building. Turk did get in touch with a guy who

is willing to come take a look and so did Dick. They will both look at the building and the board will then have two inputs on what needs to be done.

Unit #944 had some issues last time responded to fire.  Del ran the code and replaced the throttle body and battery.  Rest code and the issues have been fixed.

In August we will have the Under Sheriff Nic come into explain to the board about traffic control.  The meeting will be on August 7th.

Dick made the motion to pay the bills. Shawn  2nd the motion.

There being no further business to come before the board. Dick made the motion to adjourn the meeting.  Fred 2nd the motion. Motion Carried.   All Aye. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 P.M.
