Plevna Rural Fire – DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING – July 10th, 2025

BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING OF THE
PLEVNA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT July 10, 2025

Chairman Shaun Crisler called the meeting to order and Directors Cody Rieger, Dana Buerkle, Bobby
Wiedmer were present. Chief Kalyn Bohle and Recording clerk Stephanie Crisler were also present.
Director Larry Steffes was absent.

The minutes of the June 2025, Board of Director’s meeting were read and approved.
Motion was made by Director Cody, seconded by Director Dana, and carried to pay the following

Before the meeting started the board opened the bids for the 1997 Ford F350 truck. There were five
total bids. Owen Devlin $7,800.00. Joe Weyant $16,558.00. Bryce Huft $10,000.00. John & Teresa
Rieger $6,502.00. Ekalaka Volunteer Fire Department $5,000.00. Dana made the motion to accept the
bid of $16,558.00 belonging to Joe Weyant. Bobby seconded. Motioned carried.

Chairman Shaun asked for old business. Chief Kalyn let the board know he ordered 10 sets of
wildland gear and 1 set of pants. The funds from the truck sale were discussed. Director Dana made
the motion to invest the funds into the STIP account, Director Bobby seconded. Motion carried.

Chairman Shaun asked for new business. Chairman Shaun mentioned Sam Thielen will install the new
water meters at the hall and community center. Recording clerk Stephanie mentioned the Misc Revenue
funds deposited into the STIP account. Director Cody made the motion to invest those funds;
Director Bobby seconded the motion. Chairman Shaun mentioned Plevna Jamboree people wanting to use
the community center table and chairs outside and the 220 outlet from the fire hall. Director Dana
made the motion to let them use the outlet, but not the table and chairs from the community center,
Director Cody seconded the motion.

Director Bobby made a motion to adjourn. Motion seconded by Director Dana and carried.
