Baker Rural Fire District – September 4th, 2025 Meeting

THE REGULAR SCHEDULED BAKER RURAL DISTRICT MEETING WAS HELD SEPTEMBER 4, 2025, AT 7:00 P.M. AT 8254 HIGHWAY 12 IN THE RURAL DISTRICT OFFICE.

PRESENT: Chairman; Turk Stark, Vice Chairman; Randy Hoenke, Treasurer; Dick Chester, Trustee; Shawn Strangford, Fire Chief; Tom Bruha, Secretary; Stephanie Croy

VISITOR: Bryce Kramlick

ABSENT: Trustee; Fred Hoff

A motion was made to approve the presented minutes of the August 7, 2025 meeting by Randy.  The motion was 2nd by Dick.   Motion carried.  All Aye.

OLD BUSINESS:

Unit #482 Tom has it licensed but had to order new plate.   Was not able to use the old plate.  

Last month August 17th was a special meeting about the new trucks bed and tank.  Tom received the bids from T&T in Rapid City, which he had brought before the board in August meeting.   After some discussion Fred made the motion to accept the bids for truck bed and tank.  Motion was 2nd by Shawn.   Motion carried.  All Aye.

Unit #484 still is in Bowman, Bryce stopped by to see how things were going.  They had sent their mechanic to school so were hoping to get started on it in the next week.

NEW BUSINESS:

EMS will be doing an Air Pac test this Monday.

This month also Tom will be doing hose and hydrant testing.

Tom is needing some help this coming Monday night for the bon fire for Homecoming week.

Dick made the motion to pay the bills.  Shawn 2nd the motion.
The following claims were approved to be paid:
A picture of excel spreadsheet that shows claims approved to be paid during this meeting, totaling $11,396.27

There being no further business to come before the board.  Dick made the motion to adjourn the meeting.  Randy 2nd the motion.  Motion Carried.   All Aye.   The meeting adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
