Mandatory Meeting

6:30 P.M. Call to Order

Roll Call – Establish Quorum:

Members present: Vaughn Zenko, President; Michelle Gray, Vice President; Lisa Espeland, Rich Menger; Steve Baldwin; Cindy Irgens; Jon Slagter; Shelley MacKay Dean (called in)

Staff present: Brenda Wood, Fallon County Clerk & Recorder; Megan Slagter, Executive Secretary; Desiree Thielen, DES/Planner

Approval of Minutes:

Steve Baldwin motioned to approve the July 8^th, 2025 minutes. Cindy Irgens seconded the motion. Vaughn Zenko asked for any further discussion; being none. 8 Ayes. 0 Nays. Motion carried unanimously.

New/Old Business-

1. Review/Revise/Decision on Planning By-laws

Discussed changes to the by-laws regarding power and duties. Lisa presented changes to the contractor completing the duties on the Planning Board’s behalf. Discussed the definition of Special and Regular meetings.

Steve Baldwin motioned to present Lisa’s amendment to legal counsel. Jon Slagter seconded. Vaughn Zenko asked for any further discussion; Steve requested to receive the Darcy Wassmann, County Attorney’s suggestions before the next meeting for review. 8 Ayes. 0 Nays. Motion carried unanimously.

Desiree Thielen introduced herself as the new in-house County Planner with Forrest Sanderson as a back-up contract planner. Brenda reported on a possible subdivision that will be submitted for review.
