Little Beaver Conservation District Minutes
January 15, 2025 @ 3:30pm
Came to order: 3:30 pm
Present: Roddy Rost, Keith Rustad, Fred Houzvicka, Quentin Burdick, Dirk O’Connor, Stephane Crisler, Michelle Gorder- NRCS, Dave Kirschten- Extension, Cris Beckers
Public Comment: none
Minutes: The minutes from the December 2024 meeting were approved.
Profit and Loss: Last month’s profit and loss was approved by Fred.
Financial Information: Fred made a motion to pay the bills as presented, Keith seconded, motion passed. The following bills were paid. They also made a motion to put $24,000.00 into a2 to 3 month CD and $16,000.00 into another CD.

- Mid-Rivers Communications- Wi-Fi -$36.50
- Federal Tax Deposit- $405.58 (online)

Old Business:
- Stephanie let the board know the building outside is complete. Fred will contact Shaun to see if he is interested in doing the inside work or do we need to find other contactors.
New Business:
- Stephanie gave her administrator report.
- Keith mentioned the drill is ordered and John Deere will call us when it is ready.
- Stephanie, Michelle and Dave discussed the education day we are having on January 22, 2025.
The winter ag series will be first thing in the morning and virtual fence in the afternoon.
Stephanie mentioned travel reimbursement for 2 of the speakers, Quentin made the motion to
approve travel reimbursement, Fred seconded. Quentin and Fred also approved three speaker gifts spending $40.00 each. Stephanie will get some things put together. The board also discussed a local work day. That will take place March 10, 2025 @ 2pm. Location to be determined. Dave will ask Sharla Sackman to be the facilitator.
- Election of officers was discussed. Quentin made the motion to appoint Roddy Rost as
Chairman, Fred seconded the motion. Fred made the motion to appoint Quentin as ViceChairman, Keith seconded the motion. Dirk made the motion to appoint Fred as Treasurer, Quentin seconded the motion.
Excusal of Absences: Keith made the motion to excuse Melissa and Kodie, Fred seconded.

With no other further business Keith adjourned the meeting, Fred seconded. The next monthly meeting of the Little Beaver Conservation District will be held February 5th, 2025 @5:30 pm
